FPIs continue buying

Net inflow of Rs 873.08 crore on 2 September 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs 873.08 crore on Tuesday, 2 September 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 555.79 crore on Monday, 1 September 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 873.08 crore on 2 September 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4065.23 crore and gross sales of Rs 3192.15 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 697.68 crore into the secondary equity market on 2 September 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3887.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 3189.52 crore. The Sensex rose 151.84 points or 0.57% to settle at 27,019.39, a record closing high.

 

There was an inflow of Rs 175.40 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 2 September 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 925.47 crore in September 2014 (till 2 September 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 5429.76 crore in August 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 79260.60 crore in this calendar year so far (till 2 September 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113136 crore in 2013 calendar year.
