Net inflow of Rs 472 crore on 11 September 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs 472 crore on Thursday, 11 September 2014, compared with inflow of Rs 216.77 crore on Wednesday, 10 September 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 472 crore on 11 September 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3765.88 crore and gross sales of Rs 3293.88 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 465.89 crore into the secondary equity market on 11 September 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3758.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 3292.71 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex fell 61.54 points or 0.23% to settle at 26,995.87 on that day, its lowest closing level since 1 September 2014.

 

There was an inflow of Rs 6.11 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 11 September 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 6665.49 crore in this month so far (till 11 September 2014). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 6327.19 crore from the secondary equity markets in this month so far.

FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 5429.76 crore in August 2014. They bought shares worth a net Rs 3101.70 crore from the secondary equity markets in that month.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 85000.63 crore in this calendar year so far (till 11 September 2014). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 77671.51 crore from the secondary equity markets in this year so far.
