FPIs continue buying

Net inflow of Rs 228.46 crore on 19 November 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 228.46 crore on Wednesday, 19 November 2014, higher than inflow of Rs 15.11 crore on Tuesday, 18 November 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 228.46 crore on 19 November 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4344.52 crore and gross sales of Rs 4116.06 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 227.61 crore into the secondary equity market on 19 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4343.57 crore and gross sales of Rs 4115.96 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex declined 130.44 points or 0.46% to settle at 28,032.85 on that day, its lowest closing level since 13 November 2014.

 

There was a net inflow of Rs 0.85 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on 19 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.95 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.10 crore.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 11190.04 crore in this month so far (till 19 November 2014). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 10478.40 crore from the secondary markets in this month so far (till 19 November 2014). FPIs sold shares worth a net Rs 1171.51 crore last month. They sold shares worth a net Rs 2010.97 crore from the secondary markets last month.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 93456.19 crore in this calendar year so far (till 19 November 2014). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 83949.54 crore from the secondary equity markets in this year so far (till 19 November 2014).
