Net inflow of Rs 1014.72 crore on 6 April 2015
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1014.72 crore on Monday, 6 April 2015.
The net inflow of Rs 1014.72 crore on 6 April 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4436.64 crore and gross sales of Rs 3421.92 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 1014.19 crore into the secondary equity market on 6 April 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4435.71 crore and gross sales of Rs 3421.52 crore. On that day, the S&P BSE Sensex jumped 244.32 points or 0.86% to settle at 28,504.46, its highest closing level since 18 March 2015.
There was a net inflow of Rs 0.53 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 6 April 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.93 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.40 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 2161.15 crore in this month so far (till 6 April 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 1848.84 crore from the secondary equity markets in this month so far (till 6 April 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 12078.12 crore last month. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 10155.09 crore from the secondary markets last month.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 38633.77 crore in calendar year 2015 so far (till 6 April 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 30612.81 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 6 April 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 97055.90 crore in the calendar year 2014. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
