Inflow of Rs 119.97 crore on 7 August 2015
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 119.97 crore during previous trading session on Friday, 7 August 2015, as against net inflow of Rs 285.29 crore on Thursday, 6 August 2015.
There was a net inflow of Rs 119.97 crore into the equity market on 7 August 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3794.82 crore and gross sales of Rs 3674.85 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 7.22 crore from the secondary equity market on 7 August 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3665.85 crore and gross sales of Rs 3673.07 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had declined 61.74 points or 0.22% to settle at 28,236.39 on that day, its lowest closing level since 5 August 2015.
There was a net inflow of Rs 127.19 crore into the category 'primary markets & others' on 7 August 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 128.97 crore and gross sales of Rs 1.78 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 1672.31 crore in August 2015 so far (till 7 August 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 1554.52 crore from the secondary equity markets in August 2015 so far (till 7 August 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 5318.99 crore last month. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 1865.19 crore from the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 46071.70 crore in calendar year 2015 so far (till 7 August 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 29765.40 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 7 August 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 97055.90 crore in the calendar year 2014. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
