Net buying of Rs 70.58 crore on 27 October 2015
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 70.58 crore on Tuesday, 27 October 2015, lower than net inflow of Rs 767.89 crore on Monday, 26 October 2015.
The net inflow of Rs 70.58 crore into the secondary equity markets on 27 October 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5205.02 crore and gross sales of Rs 5134.44 crore. On that day, the Sensex fell 108.52 points or 0.40% to settle at 27,253.44, its lowest closing level since 16 October 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 2.20 crore from the category 'primary markets & others' on 27 October 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.09 crore and gross sales of Rs 2.29 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 6785.38 crore in this month so far (till 27 October 2015). They sold shares worth a net Rs 11087.28 crore into the secondary equity markets last month.
