Net inflow of Rs 160.38 crore on 20 July 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 160.38 crore from the secondary equity markets on 20 July 2017, compared with net inflow of Rs 1015.41 crore on 19 July 2017. On that day, the Sensex fell 50.95 points or 0.16% to settle at 31,904.40, its lowest closing level since 18 July 2017.
The net inflow of Rs 160.38crore on 20 July 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4297.27 crore and gross sales of Rs 4136.89 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 14.71 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 20 July 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 17.13 crore and gross sales of Rs 2.42 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 1856.55 crore from the secondary equity markets in July 2017 so far (till 20 July 2017). They had purchased stocks worth a net Rs 906.13 crore from the secondary equity markets in June 2017.
