Net inflow of Rs 1103.08 crore on 19 January 2018

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 1103.08 crore from the secondary equity markets on 19 January 2018, lower than net inflow of Rs 1917.96 crore on 18 January 2018. On 19 January 2018, the Sensex rose 251.29 points or 0.71% to settle at 35,511.58, its record closing high.

The net inflow of Rs 1103.08 crore into the secondary equity markets on 19 January 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 6165.26 crore and gross sales of Rs 5062.18 crore.

There was a net outflow of Rs 15.24 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 19 January 2018, which was a result of Rs 49.64 crore gross purchases and gross sales of Rs 64.88 crore.

 

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 7023.75 crore from the secondary equity markets in January 2018 so far (till 19 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 3345.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in December 2017.

FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 167.41 crore into the primary market & others' category in January 2018 so far (till 19 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 2537.66 crore into the primary market & others' category in December 2017.
