Net inflow of Rs 850.53 crore on 24 January 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 850.53 crore from the secondary equity markets on 24 January 2018, lower than net inflow of Rs 2441.52 crore on 23 January 2018. On 24 January 2018, the Sensex rose 21.66 points or 0.06% to settle at 36,161.64, a record closing high.
The net inflow of Rs 850.53 crore into the secondary equity markets on 24 January 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 7822.12 crore and gross sales of Rs 6971.59 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 27.09 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 24 January 2018, which was a result of Rs 98.06 crore gross purchases and gross sales of Rs 70.97 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 11923.09 crore from the secondary equity markets in January 2018 so far (till 24 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 3345.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in December 2017.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 163.85 crore into the primary market & others' category in January 2018 so far (till 24 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 2537.66 crore into the primary market & others' category in December 2017.
