Net inflow of Rs 378.94 crore on 29 January 2018

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 378.94 crore from the secondary equity markets on 29 January 2018, compared with net inflow of Rs 1298.87 crore on 25 January 2018. On 29 January 2018, the Sensex had gained 232.81 points or 0.65% to settle at 36,283.25, a record closing high. The stock market was closed on 26 January 2018 on account of Republic Day holiday.

The net inflow of Rs 378.94 crore into the secondary equity markets on 29 January 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 8539.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 8160.56 crore.

 

There was a net inflow of Rs 264.91 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 29 January 2018, which was a result of Rs 265.87 crore gross purchases and gross sales of Rs 0.96 crore.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 13600.90 crore from the secondary equity markets in January 2018 so far (till 29 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 3345.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in December 2017.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 148.40 crore from the primary market & others' category in January 2018 so far (till 29 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 2537.66 crore into the primary market & others' category in December 2017.
