Net inflow of Rs 469.77 crore on 12 April 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) purchased stocks worth a net Rs 469.77 crore from the secondary equity markets on 12 April 2018, as compared to net inflow of Rs 435.79 crore on 11 April 2018. On 12 April 2018, the Sensex rose 160.69 points or 0.47% to settle at 34,101.13, its highest closing level since 28 February 2018.
The net inflow of Rs 469.77 crore into the secondary equity markets on 12 April 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4721.29 crore and gross sales of Rs 4251.52 crore.
There was a net outflow of Rs 0.18 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 12 April 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.13 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.31 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 3351.69 crore into the secondary equity markets in April 2018 so far (till 12 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 6685.63 crore from the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 2267.19 crore from the primary market & others' category in April 2018 so far (till 12 April 2018). They purchased stocks worth a net Rs 4968.66 crore from the primary market & others' category last month.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 225.16 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar 2018 so far (till 12 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 9768.38 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar 2017.
