Net inflow of Rs 216.77 crore on 10 September 2014
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs 216.77 crore on Wednesday, 10 September 2014, compared with inflow of Rs 540.80 crore on Tuesday, 9 September 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 216.77 crore on 10 September 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3282.34 crore and gross sales of Rs 3065.57 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 59.95 crore into the secondary equity market on 10 September 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3123.34 crore and gross sales of Rs 3063.39 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex fell 207.91 points or 0.76% to settle at 27,057.41 on that day, its lowest closing level since 5 September 2014.
There was an inflow of Rs 156.82 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 10 September 2014.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 6193.49 crore in this month so far (till 10 September 2014). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 5861.30 crore from the secondary equity markets in this month so far.
FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 5429.76 crore in August 2014. They bought shares worth a net Rs 3101.70 crore from the secondary equity markets in that month.
