Net outflow of Rs 42.15 crore on 7 December 2015
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 42.15 crore yesterday, 7 December 2015, compared with net outflow of Rs 1746.97 crore on Friday, 4 December 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 42.15 crore from the secondary equity markets on 7 December 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3700 crore and gross sales of Rs 3742.15 crore. On that day, the Sensex lost 108 points or 0.42% to settle at 25,530.11, its lowest closing level since 18 November 2015.
There was a net inflow of Rs 0.03 crore into the category 'primary markets & others' on 7 December 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.25 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.22 crore.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 3164.22 crore into the secondary equity markets in this month so far (till 7 December 2015). They have sold shares worth a net Rs 8413.23 crore into the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 4937.35 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 7 December 2015). They bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
