Net outflow of Rs 318 crore on 13 April 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 318 crore into the secondary equity markets on 13 April 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 497.84 crore on 12 April 2017. On that day, the Sensex shed 182.03 points or 0.61% to settle at 29,461.45, its lowest closing level since 28 March 2017.
The stock market was closed on Friday, 14 April 2017, for a public holiday.
The net outflow of Rs 318 crore on 13 April 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3227.08 crore and gross sales of Rs 3545.08 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 5.74 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 13 April 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5.94 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.20 crore.
