Net outflow of Rs 308.55 crore on 13 June 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 308.55 crore into the secondary equity markets on 13 June 2017, higher than net outflow of Rs 92.35 crore on 12 June 2017. On that day, the Sensex rose 7.79 points or 0.03% to settle at 31,103.49, its highest closing level since 9 June 2017.
The net outflow of Rs 308.55 crore on 13 June 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3947.95 crore and gross sales of Rs 4256.50 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 5217.92 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on 13 June 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5378.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 160.58 crore.
FPIs have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 3094.41 crore from the secondary equity markets in June 2017 so far (till 13 June 2017). FPIs had bought stocks worth a net Rs 2807.24 crore in May 2017.
FPIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 40743.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 13 June 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.
