Net outflow of Rs 902.23 crore on 1 August 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 902.23 crore into the secondary equity markets yesterday, 1 August 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 1190.09 crore on 31 July 2017. On that day, the Sensex rose 60.23 points or 0.19% to settle at 32,575.17, a record high.
The net outflow of Rs 902.23 crore on 1 August 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4576.78 crore and gross sales of Rs 5479.01 crore.
There was a net outflow of Rs 17.59 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 1 August 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2.90 crore and gross sales of Rs 20.49 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 2092.32 crore into the secondary equity markets in August 2017 (till 1 August 2017). They have bought stocks worth a net Rs 4199.62 crore from the secondary equity markets in July 2017.
