Net outflow of Rs 440.04 crore on 9 October 2017

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 440.04 crore into the secondary equity markets on 9 October 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 953.85 crore on 6 October 2017. On 9 October 2017, the Sensex had risen 32.67 points or 0.10% to settle at 31,846.89, its highest closing level since 22 September 2017.

The net outflow of Rs 440.04 crore on 9 October 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2919.84 crore and gross sales of Rs 3359.88 crore.

There was an inflow of Rs 0.92 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 9 October 2017.

 

FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 4570.51 crore into the secondary equity markets in October 2017 so far (till 9 October 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 19973.64 crore into the secondary equity markets in September 2017.

FPIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 3788.41 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 9 October 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 2626.79 crore from the primary market & others' category in October 2017 so far (till 9 October 2017). They had bought stocks worth a net Rs 8581.37 crore from the primary market & others' category in September 2017.

FPIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 28620.93 crore from the 'primary markets & others' category in calendar year 2017 so far (till 9 October 2017). The net inflow from FPIs into the category 'primary markets & others' had totaled Rs 8471.76 crore in calendar year 2016.
