Net outflow of Rs 1140.89 crore on 6 December 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 1140.89 crore into the secondary equity markets on 6 December 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 1418.69 crore on 5 December 2017. On 6 December 2017, the Sensex had lost 205.26 points or 0.63% to settle at 32,597.18, its lowest closing level since 23 October 2017.
The net outflow of Rs 1140.89 crore on 6 December 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4837.43 crore and gross sales of Rs 5978.32 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 16.90 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 6 December 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 18.79 crore and gross sales of Rs 1.89 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 3251.66 crore into the secondary equity markets in December 2017 so far (till 6 December 2017). They had purchased stocks worth a net Rs 9703.50 crore from the secondary equity markets in November 2017.
