Net outflow of Rs 1011.39 crore on 7 December 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 1011.39 crore into the secondary equity markets on 7 December 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 1140.89 crore on 6 December 2017. On 7 December 2017, the Sensex had surged 352.03 points or 1.08% to settle at 32,949.21, its highest closing level since 30 November 2017.
The net outflow of Rs 1011.39 crore on 7 December 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4503.01 crore and gross sales of Rs 5514.40 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 48.57 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 7 December 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 52.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 3.93 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 4263.05 crore into the secondary equity markets in December 2017 so far (till 7 December 2017). They had purchased stocks worth a net Rs 9703.50 crore from the secondary equity markets in November 2017.
