Net outflow of Rs 547.94 crore on 11 January 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 547.94 crore from the secondary equity markets on 11 January 2018, higher than net outflow of Rs 401.01 crore on 10 January 2018. On 11 January 2018, the Sensex advanced 70.42 points or 0.2% to settle at 34,503.49, its record closing high. FPIs sold stocks for the third straight day.
The net outflow of Rs 547.94 crore from the secondary equity markets on 11 January 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4991.31 crore and gross sales of Rs 5539.25 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 24.47 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 11 January 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 26.27 crore and gross sales of Rs 1.80 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 2412.13 crore from the secondary equity markets in January 2018 so far (till 11 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 3345.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in December 2017.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 239.83 crore into the primary market & others' category in January 2018 so far (till 11 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 2537.66 crore into the primary market & others' category in December 2017.
