Net outflow of Rs 875.95 crore on 18 April 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 875.95 crore into the secondary equity markets on 18 April 2018, as compared to net outflow of Rs 1139.33 crore on 17 April 2018. On 18 April 2018, the Sensex fell 63.38 points or 0.18% to settle at 34,331.68, its lowest closing level since 16 April 2018.
The net outflow of Rs 875.95 crore from the secondary equity markets on 18 April 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4095.81 crore and gross sales of Rs 4971.76 crore.
There was a net outflow of Rs 1.81 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 18 April 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.17 crore and gross sales of Rs 1.98 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 6070.71 crore into the secondary equity markets in April 2018 so far (till 18 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 6685.63 crore from the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 2536.16 crore from the primary market & others' category in April 2018 so far (till 18 April 2018). They purchased stocks worth a net Rs 4968.66 crore from the primary market & others' category last month.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 2944.18 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar 2018 so far (till 18 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 9768.38 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar 2017.
