Net inflow of Rs 2257.78 crore on 1 July 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 2257.78 crore on Tuesday, 1 July 2014. The net inflow of Rs 2257.78 crore on 1 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 9053.43 crore and gross sales of Rs 6795.65 crore.

There was a net inflow of Rs 2214.74 crore into the secondary equity market on 1 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 9010.35 crore and gross sales of Rs 6795.61 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had risen 102.57 points or 0.4% to settle at 25,516.35 on that day, its highest closing level since 17 June 2014.

 

There was a net inflow of Rs 43.04 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 1 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 43.08 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.04 crore.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 62053 crore in this calendar year so far (till 1 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.90 crore in 2013 calendar year.
