Net outflow of Rs 1648.61 crore on 19 September 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 1648.61 crore from the secondary equity markets on 19 September 2017, much higher than net outflow of Rs 83.16 crore on 18 September 2017. On 19 September 2017, the Sensex fell 21.39 points or 0.07% to settle at 32,402.37, its lowest closing level since 15 September 2017.
The net outflow of Rs 1648.61 crore on 19 September 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3006.31 crore and gross sales of Rs 4654.92 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 70.70 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 19 September 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 70.72 crore and zero gross sales.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 7510.81 crore into the secondary equity markets in September 2017 so far (till 19 September 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 15935.61 crore into the secondary equity markets in August 2017.
