Net outflow of Rs 3.95 crore on 12 January 2018

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 3.95 crore from the secondary equity markets on 12 January 2018, much lower than net outflow of Rs 547.94 crore on 11 January 2018. On 12 January 2018, the Sensex advanced 88.90 points or 0.26% to settle at 34,592.39, its record closing high. FPIs sold stocks for the fourth straight day.

The net outflow of Rs 3.95 crore from the secondary equity markets on 12 January 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5933.46 crore and gross sales of Rs 5937.41 crore.

 

There was a net outflow of Rs 25.16 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 12 January 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 11 crore and gross sales of Rs 36.16 crore.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 2408.18 crore from the secondary equity markets in January 2018 so far (till 12 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 3345.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in December 2017.

FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 264.99 crore into the primary market & others' category in January 2018 so far (till 12 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 2537.66 crore into the primary market & others' category in December 2017.
