Net inflow of Rs 2455.67 crore on 28 November 2014
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 2455.67 crore on Friday, 28 November 2014, higher than inflow of Rs 738.76 crore on Thursday, 27 November 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 2455.67 crore on 2 November 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 6628.06 crore and gross sales of Rs 4172.39 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 993.32 crore into the secondary equity market on 28 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5161.25 crore and gross sales of Rs 4167.93 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had gained 255.08 points or 0.9% to settle at 28,693.99 on that day, a record closing high for the index.
There was a net inflow of Rs 1462.35 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 28 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1466.81 crore and gross sales of Rs 4.46 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 13753.29 crore November 2014. They have bought shares worth a net Rs 12677.10 crore from the secondary markets in November 2014. FPIs sold shares worth a net Rs 1171.51 crore in October 2014. They sold shares worth a net Rs 2010.97 crore from the secondary markets in October 2014.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 98475.20 crore in this calendar year so far (till 28 November 2014). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 87141.50 crore from the secondary equity markets in this year so far (till 28 November 2014)
