Net inflow of Rs 2876.63 crore on 4 March 2015
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 2876.63 crore yesterday, 4 March 2015 compared with net inflow of Rs 753.22 in previous trading session on Tuesday, 3 March 2015.
The net inflow of Rs 2876.63 crore on 4 March 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 7711.93 crore and gross sales of Rs 4835.30 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 2801.24 crore into the secondary equity market on 4 March 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 7628.17 crore and gross sales of Rs 4826.93 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex fell 213 points or 0.72% to settle at 29,380.73, on that day, its lowest closing level since 28 February 2015.
There was an inflow of Rs 75.39 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 4 March 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 83.76 crore and gross sales of Rs 8.37 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 6861.65 crore in this month so far (till 4 March 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 6841.20 crore from the secondary equity markets in this month so far (till 4 March 2015). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 11475.53 crore last month. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 5922.37 crore from the secondary markets last month.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 31256.15 crore in calendar year 2015 so far (till 4 March 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 25450.08 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 4 March 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 97055.90 crore in the calendar year 2014. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
