Net inflow of Rs 37.43 crore on 24 June 2014
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 37.43 crore on Tuesday, 24 June 2014, compared with net outflow of Rs 184.79 crore on Monday, 23 June 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 37.43 crore on Tuesday, 24 June 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3817.29 crore and gross sales of Rs 3779.86 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 329.86 crore into the secondary equity market on 24 June 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3817.26 crore and gross sales of Rs 3487.40 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 337.58 points or 1.35% to settle at 25,368.90 on that day, its highest closing level since 17 June 2014.
There was a net outflow of Rs 292.43 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on 24 June 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.03 crore and gross sales of Rs 292.46 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 13561.45 crore in this month so far (till 24 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth Rs 14006.15 crore in May 2014.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 59365.80 crore in this calendar year so far (till 24 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.90 crore in 2013 calendar year.
