Net outflow of Rs 611.80 crore on 14 February 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 611.80 crore into the secondary equity markets on 14 February 2018, lower than net outflow of Rs 821.60 crore on 12 February 2018. On 14 February 2018, the Sensex fell 144.52 points or 0.42% to settle at 34,155.95, its lowest closing level since 9 February 2018. Stock market had remained shut on 13 February 2018 on account of Mahashivratri.
The net outflow of Rs 611.80 crore from the secondary equity markets on 14 February 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 6427.09 crore and gross sales of Rs 7038.89 crore.
There was an inflow of Rs 12.78 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 12 February 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 37.22 crore and gross sales of Rs 24.44 crore.
FPIs sold stocks worth a net Rs 7594.71 crore into the secondary equity markets in February 2018 so far till 14 February 2018. FPIs had bought stocks worth a net Rs 13635.44 crore from the secondary equity markets in January 2018.
