Net outflow of Rs 2370.94 crore on 22 February 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 2370.94 crore into the secondary equity markets on 22 February 2018, higher than net outflow of Rs 1224.29 crore on 21 February 2018. On 22 February 2018, the Sensex fell 25.36 points or 0.07% to settle at 33,819.50, its lowest closing level since 20 February 2018.
The net outflow of Rs 2370.94 crore from the secondary equity markets on 22 February 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 7601.75 crore and gross sales of Rs 9972.69 crore.
There was an inflow of Rs 107.72 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 22 February 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 329.49 crore and gross sales of Rs 221.77 crore.
FPIs sold stocks worth a net Rs 14250.19 crore into the secondary equity markets in February 2018 so far till 22 February 2018. FPIs had bought stocks worth a net Rs 13635.44 crore from the secondary equity markets in January 2018.
