Net inflow of Rs 839.38 crore on 23 July 2014
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs 839.38 crore on Wednesday, 23 July 2014, higher than net inflow of Rs 372.31 crore on Tuesday, 22 July 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 839.38 crore on 23 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3822.31 crore and gross sales of Rs 2982.93 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 721.69 crore into the secondary equity market on 23 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3698.25 crore and gross sales of Rs 2976.56 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 121.53 points or 0.47% to settle at 26,147.33 on that day, a record closing high
There was a net inflow of Rs 117.69 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 23 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 124.06 crore and gross sales of Rs 6.37 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 12799.62 crore in this month so far (till 23 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13990.75 crore in June 2014.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 72594.80 crore in this calendar year so far (till 23 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113136 crore in 2013 calendar year.
