Net inflow of Rs 5786.16 crore on 8 November 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 5786.16 crore from the secondary equity markets on 8 November 2017, compared with net inflow of Rs 675.38 crore on 7 November 2017. On 8 November 2017, the Sensex fell 151.95 points or 0.46% to settle at 33,218.81, its lowest closing level since 31 October 2017.
The net inflow of Rs 5786.16 crore on 8 November 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 12322.35 crore and gross sales of Rs 6536.19 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 201.33 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 8 November 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 201.75 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.42 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 9479.57 crore from the secondary equity markets in November 2017 so far (till 8 November 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 4949.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in October 2017.
