Net outflow of Rs 455.71 crore on 27 November 2015
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 455.71 crore on Friday, 27 November 2015, higher than net outflow of Rs 267.95 crore on Thursday, 26 November 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 455.71 crore from the secondary equity markets on 27 November 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2819.65 crore and gross sales of Rs 3275.36 crore. On that day, the Sensex gained 169.57 points or 0.65% to settle at 26,128.20, its highest closing level since 6 November 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 2.68 crore from the category 'primary markets & others' on 27 November 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.49 crore and gross sales of Rs 3.17 crore.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 8413.23 crore into the secondary equity markets this month so far (till 27 November 2015). They have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 6358.77 crore from the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 1773.13 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 27 November 2015). They bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
