Net outflow of Rs 379.11 crore on 31 October 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 379.11 crore into the secondary equity markets on 31 October 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 73.98 crore on 30 October 2017. On 31 October 2017, the Sensex fell 53.03 points or 0.16% to settle at 33,213.13, its lowest closing level since 27 October 2017.
The net outflow of Rs 379.11 crore on 31 October 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5982.19 crore and gross sales of Rs 6361.30 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 324.02 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 31 October 2017, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 325.01 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.99 crore.
