Net outflow of Rs 258.69 crore on 23 April 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 258.69 crore from the secondary equity markets on 23 April 2018, as compared to net outflow of Rs 124.29 crore on 20 April 2018. On 23 April 2018, the Sensex rose 35.19 points or 0.10% to settle at 34,450.77, its highest closing level since 5 February 2018.
The net outflow of Rs 258.69 crore into the secondary equity markets on 23 April 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4070.25 crore and gross sales of Rs 4328.94 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 1.22 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 23 April 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1.27 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.05 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 7100.26 crore into the secondary equity markets in April 2018 so far (till 23 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 6685.63 crore from the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 2537.58 crore from the primary market & others' category in April 2018 so far (till 23 April 2018). They purchased stocks worth a net Rs 4968.66 crore from the primary market & others' category last month.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 3973.73 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar 2018 so far (till 23 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 9768.38 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar 2017.
