Net inflow of Rs 427.03 crore on 4 August 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs 427.03 crore on Monday, 4 August 2014, compared with net outflow of Rs 1112.19 crore on Friday, 1 August 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 427.03 crore on 4 August 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4240.92 crore and gross sales of Rs 3813.89 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 430.93 crore from the secondary equity market on 4 August 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4240.92 crore and gross sales of Rs 3809.99 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex rose 242.32 points or 0.95% to 25,723.16, its highest closing level since 31 July 2014.

 

There was a net outflow of Rs 3.90 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 4 August 2014, which was a result of gross sales of Rs 3.90 crore.

FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 2195.45 crore in August 2014 (till 4 August 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13123.86 crore in July 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 70723.50 crore in this calendar year so far (till 4 August 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113136 crore in 2013 calendar year.
