FPIs turn buyers

Net inflow of Rs 352.99 crore on 14 May 2015

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 352.99 crore on yesterday, 14 May 2015, compared with their outflow of Rs 107.06 crore during the preceding trading session on 13 May 2015.

The net inflow of Rs 352.99 crore on 14 May 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5042.95 crore and gross sales of Rs 4689.96 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 71.93 crore from the secondary equity market on 14 May 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4485.54 crore and gross sales of Rs 4557.47 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex fell 45.04 points or 0.17% to settle at 27,206.06, its lowest closing level since 12 May 2015.

 

There was a net inflow of Rs 424.92 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on 14 May 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 557.41 crore and gross sales of Rs 132.49 crore.

FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 7634.65 crore in this month so far (till 14 May 2015). They have sold shares worth a net Rs 8028.03 crore from the secondary equity markets in this month so far (till 14 May 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 12078.12 crore last month. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 10155.09 crore from the secondary markets last month.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 40558.90 crore in calendar year 2015 so far (till 14 May 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 32101.73 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 14 May 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 97055.90 crore in the calendar year 2014. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
