Net inflow of Rs 226.85 crore on 27 June 2014
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 226.85 crore on Friday, 27 June 2014, compared with net outflow of Rs 521.92 crore on Thursday, 26 June 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 226.85 crore on Friday, 27 June 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3780.70 crore and gross sales of Rs 3553.85 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 227.36 crore in the secondary equity market on 27 June 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3775.76 crore and gross sales of Rs 3548.40 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 37.25 points or 0.15% to settle at 25,099.92 on that day, its highest closing level since 25 June 2014.
There was an outflow of Rs 0.51 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on 27 June 2014.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 13990.75 crore in this month so far (till 27 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth Rs 14006.15 crore in May 2014.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 59795.20 crore in this calendar year so far (till 27 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.90 crore in 2013 calendar year.
