Net inflow of Rs 4757.47 crore on 25 October 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 4757.47 crore from the secondary equity markets yesterday, 25 October 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 1191.49 crore on 24 October 2017. On 24 October 2017, the Sensex jumped 435.16 points or 1.33% to settle at 33,042.50, a record closing high.
The net inflow of Rs 4757.47 crore on 25 October 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 14465.53 crore and gross sales of Rs 9708.06 crore.
The net inflow of Rs 2054.95 crore into the 'primary market & others' category 25 October 2017, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2057.17 crore and gross sales of Rs 2.22 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 5104.28 crore into the secondary equity markets in October 2017 so far (till 25 October 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 19973.64 crore into the secondary equity markets in September 2017.
