Net inflow of Rs 1345.20 crore on 17 November 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 1345.20 crore from the secondary equity markets on 17 November 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 373.48 crore on 16 November 2017. The Sensex advanced 235.98 points or 0.71% to settle at 33,342.80, its highest closing level since 7 November 2017, on 16 November 2017.
The net inflow of Rs 1345.20 crore on 17 November 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 6741.15 crore and gross sales of Rs 5395.95 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 91.18 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 17 November 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 91.31 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.13 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 11429.08 crore from the secondary equity markets in November 2017 so far (till 17 November 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 4949.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in October 2017.
