Net inflow of Rs 121.04 crore on 22 December 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 121.04 crore from the secondary equity markets on 22 December 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 339.51 crore on 21 December 2017. On 22 December 2017, the Sensex gained 184.02 points or 0.55% to settle at 33,940.30, a record closing high.
The net inflow of Rs 121.04 crore on 22 December 2017 from the secondary equity markets was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3676.72 crore and gross sales of Rs 3555.68 crore.
There was a net outflow of Rs 1256.60 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 22 December 2017, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2951.78 crore and gross sales of Rs 4208.38 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 6254.86 crore into the secondary equity markets in December 2017 so far (till 22 December 2017). They had purchased stocks worth a net Rs 9703.50 crore from the secondary equity markets in November 2017.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 6858.54 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 22 December 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.
