FPIs turn net buyers

Net inflow of Rs 364.20 crore on 8 May 2018

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 364.20 crore from the secondary equity markets on 8 May 2018, as compared to net outflow of Rs 618.54 crore on 7 May 2018.

The net inflow of Rs 364.20 crore into the secondary equity markets on 8 May 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5954.84 crore and gross sales of Rs 5590.64 crore.

There was a net outflow of Rs 0.59 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 8 May 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.21 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.80 crore.

 

FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 8196.92 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar 2018 so far (till 8 May 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 9768.38 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar 2017.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 13488.39 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2018 so far (till 8 May 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 41485.09 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2017.
