Net outflow of Rs 60.69 crore on 14 December 2015
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 60.69 crore during the previous trading session yesterday, 14 December 2015, compared with net inflow of Rs 305.36 crore on 11 December 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 60.69 crore from the secondary equity markets on 14 December 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2765.16 crore and gross sales of Rs 2825.85 crore. On that day, the Sensex had risen 105.92 points or 0.42% to settle at 25,150.35, its highest closing level since 10 December 2015.
There was a net outflow of Rs 2.93 crore from the category 'primary markets & others' on 14 December 2015, which was a result of nil gross purchases and gross sales of Rs 2.93 crore.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 4198.78 crore into the secondary equity markets in this month so far (till 14 December 2015). They have sold shares worth a net Rs 8413.23 crore into the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 5971.91 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 14 December 2015). They bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.

The inflow of FPIs into the category 'primary markets & others' has totaled Rs 21348.69 crore in calendar year 2015 so far (till 14 December 2015). The inflow of FPIs into the category 'primary markets & others' stood at Rs 12615 crore in the calendar year 2014.
