Net outflow of Rs 240.57 crore on 14 March 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 240.57 crore into the secondary equity markets on 14 March 2018, compared with net inflow of Rs 4601.26 crore on 13 March 2018. On 14 March 2018, the Sensex fell 21.04 points or 0.06% to settle at 33,835.74, its lowest closing level since 9 March 2018.
The net outflow of Rs 240.57 crore from the secondary equity markets on 14 March 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4114.16 crore and gross sales of Rs 4354.73 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 190.96 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 14 March 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 191.78 and gross sales of Rs 0.82 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 4452.25 crore in March 2018 so far (till 14 March 2018). They offloaded stocks worth a net Rs 16809.04 crore into the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 2119.78 crore from the primary market & others' category in March 2018 so far (till 14 March 2018). They purchased stocks worth a net Rs 5771.94 crore from the primary market & others' category last month.
