Net outflow of Rs 398.12 crore on 15 November 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 398.12 crore into the secondary equity markets on 15 November 2017, compared with net inflow of Rs 2667.64 crore on 14 November 2017. On 15 November 2017, the Sensex fell 181.43 points or 0.55% to settle at 32,760.44, its lowest closing level since 24 October 2017.
The net outflow of Rs 398.12 crore on 15 November 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5324.66 crore and gross sales of Rs 5722.78 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 2228.90 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 15 November 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2239.54 crore and gross sales of Rs 10.64 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 10457.36 crore from the secondary equity markets in November 2017 so far (till 15 November 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 4949.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in October 2017.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 13867.26 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 15 November 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.
