Garden Silk Mills drops after weak Q2 outcome

Garden Silk Mills lost 1.62% to Rs 33.20 at 09:21 IST on BSE after the company reported net loss of Rs 37.64 crore in Q2 September 2017, higher than net loss of Rs 16.89 crore in Q2 September 2016.

The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 21 November 2017.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 139.29 points or 0.42% at 33,617.64. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 99.11 points or 0.56% at 17,912.18.

On BSE, so far 4,129 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 28,779 shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a high of Rs 33.75 and a low of Rs 33.15 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 40.90 on 1 August 2017. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 25.30 on 21 November 2016.

 

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 42.08 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Garden Silk Mills' net sales rose 12.41% to Rs 708.46 crore in Q2 September 2017 over Q2 September 2016.

Garden Silk Mills is engaged in design and creation of high-quality textile prints, fabrics and textile intermediates for consumers and businesses.
