Gayatri Projects nudges higher after bulk deals

Gayatri Projects was up 0.41% to Rs 218.40 at 12:12 IST on BSE after the stock witnessed bulk deals on Friday, 12 January 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 312.47 points or 0.9% at 34,904.86. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index advanced 0.12%, underperforming the Sensex.

On the BSE, 3.36 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 3.58 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock rose as much as 2.57% at the day's high of Rs 223.10 so far during the day. The stock rose 0.25% at the day's low of Rs 218.05 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 237.55 on 2 January 2018 and a 52-week low of Rs 124.60 on 30 January 2017.

 

The mid-cap company has equity capital of Rs 35.45 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

Afrin Dia sold 70 lakh shares of Gayatri Projects to UBS FD Management Switzerland AG on behalf of UBS Ch Eqty FD-Emerging A at Rs 208 per share in a bulk deal on the BSE on Friday, 12 January 2018. On the same day, Societe Generale bought 25 lakh shares at Rs 217.35 apiece.

Gayatri Projects' net profit jumped 104% to Rs 23.71 crore on 20.9% rise in net sales to Rs 423.18 crore in Q2 September 2017 over Q2 September 2016.

Gayatri Projects in a Hyderabad-based infrastructure and construction company specializing in road, irrigation, power transmission and industrial projects with a pan India presence.
