GMR Infra drops after allotment of rights shares

GMR Infrastructure fell 4.65% to Rs 16.40 at 14:54 IST on BSE after the company said it has allotted 93.45 crore equity shares at Rs 15 per share on rights basis to the eligible equity shareholders.

The announcement was made during market hours today, 20 April 2015.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 575.05 points or 2.02% at 27,867.05.

On BSE, so far 14.86 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 21.89 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 17 and a low of Rs 16.20 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 37.58 on 10 June 2014. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 14.65 on 23 March 2015.

 

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 17 April 2015, surging 7.5% compared with Sensex's 1.02% fall. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, advancing 2.81% as against Sensex's 1.14% rise.

The mid-cap infrastructure company has equity capital of Rs 529.58 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.

GMR Infrastructure reported consolidated net loss of Rs 739.33 crore in Q3 December 2014, higher than net loss of Rs 554.98 crore in Q3 December 2013. Net sales rose 3.9% to Rs 2727.83 crore in Q3 December 2014 over Q3 December 2013.

GMR Infrastructure a part of GMR Group is the infrastructure holding company formed to fund the capital requirements of various infrastructure projects across the sectors. It undertakes the development of the infrastructure projects through its various subsidiaries.
