Hero MotoCorp rose 0.49% to Rs 3,824.05 at 9:18 IST on BSE said its total sales rose 6.78% to 7.20 lakh units in September 2017 over September 2016.
The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 3 October 2017.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 22.91 points, or 0.07% to 31,474.47.
On the BSE, 1,955 shares were traded in the counter so far, compared with average daily volumes of 37,000 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 3,865 and a low of Rs 3,798.70 so far during the day.
Hero MotoCorp said it set a new global benchmark in the two-wheeler industry, surpassing the seven lakh sales mark in any month.
Net profit of Hero MotoCorp rose 3.50% to Rs 914.04 crore on 7.74% rise in net sales to Rs 7971.58 crore in Q1 June 2017 over Q1 June 2016.
Hero MotoCorp is the world's largest manufacturer of two-wheelers.
