Hero MotoCorp rose 0.43% to Rs 1971.40 at 10:13 IST on BSE after the company said its total two-wheeler sales rose 0.61% to 561,253 units in January 2014 over January 2013.
The company announced the sales numbers during trading hours today, 4 February 2014.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 205.88 points or 1.02% at 20,003.38.
On BSE, so far 1,575 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 21,000 shares in the past two weeks.
The stock was volatile. The stock rose as much as 0.75% at the day's high of Rs 1,977.80 so far during the day. The stock lost as much as 1.07% at the day's low of Rs 1,942 so far during the day.

Hero MotoCorp's consolidated net profit rose 7.5% to Rs 524.66 crore on 11.3% growth in net sales to Rs 6845.91 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q3 December 2012.
