Hero MotoCorp rises after good MoM sales

Hero Motocorp was up 0.39% to Rs 2,700 after total sales rose 12.6% to 6.12 lakh units in September 2019 as against 5.43 lakh units in August 2019.

Total sales dropped 20.40% in September 2019 compared with 7.69 lakh units in September 2018. The announcement was made after trading hours on Tuesday, 1 October 2019.

Shares of Hero MotoCorp fell 2.56% in the past three trading sessions to settle at Rs 2,689.55 on Tuesday, 1 October 2019, from its close of Rs 2,760.25 on 26 September 2019.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 196 points or 0.51% to 38,109.26.

 

On the BSE, 11,418 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 65,880 shares in the past two weeks. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs 2,735.60 and an intraday low of Rs 2,690 so far during the day.

The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 3,382.7 on 20 December 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 2,228.25 on 31 July 2019.

Hero MotoCorp's consolidated net profit fell 17.2% to Rs 761.83 crore on 8.2% decline in net sales to Rs 8,185.66 crore in Q1 June 2019 compared with Q1 June 2018.

Hero MotoCorp manufactures and sells motorized two wheelers up to 350 cubic centimeters (cc) engine capacity, spare parts and related services.
